The idea of transferring from one host to another can be a little intimidating. You may not be happy with your current host, but you do not want to interrupt your website’s activity. There are effective ways to transfer to another host.Once you have found a web host you feel you will be happy with, you need to sign-up for a new account. Before you go any farther with the new host, you need to back up or upload all of the files and databases from your current site. You can use an FTP utility to download all the files from the current host to your computer. Dreamweaver users can use the “Get” command to copy all of their files. You can create –auto-responders and aliases and/or forward emails at the same time. Your new email address(es) will not work until the transfer of your domain is completed. Next, you need to transfer your domain name.
